Moving the Blog to Substack

Hello there. After my last blog post, I decided to use Substack as a free mailing list software to notify my mailing list…because I don’t email that frequently anymore, and paying for Squarespace Campaigns felt like a waste of money. I’ve been pondering about moving my blog to Substack for some time, mainly for the user-friendliness and social aspects. Substack seems like a quieter, ad-free social space. I generally suck at social media because I don’t like to broadcast my thoughts until I think them through, and there is way too much going on Instagram and Facebook. I’ve been off of them for a while and don’t feel like going back except occasionally to check on friends.
While setting up Substack to send newsletters, I decided it made sense to move my blog there altogether. So going forward, my blog posts will be posted there and emailed immediately to subscribers rather than sent through a separate newsletter. The old posts will continue to exist here since I still get traffic to them (Hi! In case you’re one of those people.)
Here’s where to find me: https://dianebuxton.substack.com/
The nice thing about Substack is that the social aspects are optional. So if you prefer to just get my emails to your inbox, there’s nothing else you need to do (other than subscribe). If you want to comment on my posts and connect with me, you can reply to my emails like before, or comment on the Substack blog.
Hope to see you there!
